Ready for adventure!

We started with our best-selling trail hiking and running shoe, the TerraFlex, and morphed it into a high-topped, fully waterproof hiking boot that’s ready for your next extreme adventure. Meet the Xcursion.

The Xcursion gives you the protection you want

- Gusseted tongue and sealed waterproof inner liner.

- Additional water-repellent membrane inside the outer mesh.

- Durable protective toe cap, foxing, and accents.

At just 340g each for size US M9, the minimalist Xcursion boot feels like no hiker you’ve ever worn. In fact, whether you’re on a day hike or fully loaded with a heavy pack, the Xcursion gives you the grip and support you want while still feeling like a "barefoot boot".

Why you’ll love the Xcursion

The other reasons you’ll love the Xcursion are its true Xero Shoes heritage:

A wide toe box which lets your toes spread, splay and move naturally.

Low-to-the-ground design for balance and agility.

Non-elevated "zero-drop" heel for proper posture.

The flexible sole lets your feet bend and move the way they’re supposed to.

High-traction FeelTrue rubber sole with dual-chevron tread for traction.

Lightweight construction for "barely there" comfort.

Let’s see what adventure you take on in your Xcursion as you Live Life Feet First!

How to pick the correct size

  1. Great with reservations Review by Sandra

Much as I like these boots, they fit up small and caused bruising on my toe nails on a 13 mile walk. They also are not waterproof to the standard of Scottish bogland! (Posted on 05/11/2020)

  2. Xtremely comfortable and light Review by Ruth

I love these boots. They’re my first ever pair of barefoot shoes. They’re very light, comfortable, flexible, look good and appear to be very well made. The lacing system works really well to ensure a snug fit around your foot. Often with boots I find my heal slips up and down. This isn’t an issue in these. There’s a lot of toe room horizontally and vertically. I haven’t worn them in the rain yet so I can’t comment on their waterproofness but from reading many other reviews I’m feeling confident they will be fully waterproof. The sizing guide worked really well for me, the fit is perfect, good with thin or thick socks.

Initially on taking them out of the box and putting them on they were very comfortable, but the edge of the material at the bottom of the laces dug into the top of my foot. However in less than a minute of walking in the house this fabric softened / shaped to my foot and was no longer an issue.

I definitely recommend. (Posted on 23/11/2019)

  3. Quality, waterproof, zero-drop hiking boot Review by Brian

Stunning hiking boot. Right out of the box the quality is obvious. Beautifully crafted, light, and with sizeing that's much closer to standard shoe sizes than their predecessor (and non-waterproof) Daylight Hikers.

I tested their waterproofing in about an hour and a half of torrential rain today. Walked in completely waterlogged ground sinking an inch or so into water with every step; through soaking wet fields of long grass; searched for, and walked into, every puddle I could find; had rain streaming of my hiking trousers onto the top of them the whole time, and the insides were bone dry when I took them off. Couldn't be more impressed.

Granted, it was lowland walking rather than proper mountains, but they took everything I could throw at them today and came out flying. Fantastic first impressions. (Posted on 13/10/2019)
