Prio

What can I do in the Prio?

Practically anything. The Prio is our first “performance” shoe.

It’s great for road running, light trail running, walking, hiking, working out, Crossfit, biking, and slacklining… it’s obviously up to you. Once you get them on, I’m sure you’ll do things we never thought of (and we want to see pictures of that!).

What do I do with those straps on the Prio?

I’ll admit, this is one of my favourite things about the Prio.

The huarache-sandal-inspired heel strap can be used to hold your heel and ankle in place. Pull the straps through the ankle holes in the sole, and then lock them in place with the laces.

The instep straps can be used to secure your instep, which can free up your toes and forefoot to relax and function better. Use the laces to tighten or loosen them to your liking.

Is the Prio Waterproof?

It’s not. But the breathable mesh upper should help it dry quickly if you get them wet.

How do I find my Prio Size?

Shoe sizing, especially online, is not a perfect process. That’s why we have an exchange policy.
For US/EU sizing, there’s a conversion chart at the bottom of the Prio product description.

The Prio fit true to size. We recommend going with your usual athletic shoe size.

Also, the Prio is wider than conventional running shoes.

Sizing for a shoe is different than a sandal, so if you own one of our sandals, that doesn’t mean you’ll pick the same size in the Prio, so use the measuring info if you can.

Keep in mind, though, that because the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannock device®, can only approximate your true shoe size. Manufacturers model their shoes on different foot shapes, which is why you might be a 5 in one brand and a 6 in another.

If your foot is really wide and larger than a women’s 6.5, you may want to check out the “men’s” Prio. The conversion between men’s and women’s is 1, so a women’s 6.5 is the same as a wider men’s 5.5.

Seem like nice shoes

These seem like nice shoes but despite listening to reviews and ordering two sizes bigger than my normal UK shoe size they were still too small. I sent them back and had planned on getting an exchange but they charge £6 for delivery which was not refunded. I feel the price is too high to justify risking ordering again.

Love the company..... shame my feet didn't love this shoe

Before I say anything about the shoe, I really wanted to give 5 stars because I think the final issue was my foot, not the shoe, and because Customer Services were so good.. However I only gave 4 stars because: 1. They say buy your regular size (which ended up being 2 half sizes too small and wasted a lot of time and energy with returns). 2. They didn't make it clear on the website that this style/colour is being discontinued, nor that some of the sizes were no longer available. ( I would have had to try to order the next size up and then would have noticed the black tag saying unavailable). I sugguest they make it really obvious that a product is being discontinued, and do what other websites do: mark a big X through the sizes that you can't order so that if you aren't sure of what size you need, you can see at a glance that you shouldn't risk it. Thankfully they refunded all the shipping costs except the original one, but such a waste of energy. Customer service was incredibly efficient and accomodating and the Prio shoe itself looks really well made and perfect, just not for my feet. My only issues once I finally received the correct size were: - the height/depth of the toe box is too shallow for me because I raise my big toe with each step and make holes in all my shoes because of it and the rigidity of the support material (which was actually the reason why I wanted to get them in the first place) meant that my toes hit the shoe roof with each step. It may have helped to get a further half size or 2 bigger but after so many returns already, I bought the HFS II instead even though they will wear through fast because there's only thin fabric that my toe stretches. - the support material is so good and sturdy that with each step it bent inwards on the sides as I walked and felt uncomfortable. It may have worn in with time and stopped but the big toes feeling restricted meant I wasn't going to risk trying, especially not for this price. I highly recommend these shoes if you have narrow feet, and your feet like them. They are super comfortable (when just standing), look very well made, and are narrower than the other few barefoot shoes I have tried on, and like I said if you have a printer to print the return labels Customer Service was very accomodating to the issues mentioned above. Thanks for the great company!

Very practical and comfy

These were my first pair of barefoot shoes and I love them! I usually get size 7 shoes, but I had to go up to 7.5 with these. They're super comfy and I wear them all the time, for everyday walks and for strength training at the gym. It was a bit strange getting used to the new sensation, my feet were pretty tired at first - but I see that as a sign that my feet are doing their job and working harder!
