Genesis sandals come pre-laced but you can find the perfect fit in seconds using our patent-pending tension adjustment system. Figuring out sizing is never easy. That’s why we also have FREE EXCHANGES. Most people find our size recommendation gives them a proper fit, but just in case, we have a free exchange program for all UK orders.

For Women looking to buy the Men’s version because it is wider – the conversion rate is 1 times, e.g. a Women’s 8 is a Men’s 7.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

FAQs

Why don’t you use leather or hemp laces?

You can use almost anything for lacing huaraches.

In my testing, though, I found some issues with hemp and leather that I didn’t like:

Both leather and hemp tended to stretch, especially when moist
Both leather and hemp tighten and stiffen when they dry
Both leather and hemp wear out faster than our polyester laces
Leather is much more expensive
Most leather laces are rectangular, and the edges can dig into your skin
Leather isn’t vegan (for those who care about that)
Leather and hemp don’t give you as many fun colour choices

The 100% polyester cord we use is strong, light, and doesn’t stretch or tighten, especially when wet.

Also, I prefer the “slip-on” method of tying which works best with a round lace, rather than a flat one (like leather).

Needless to say, you can replace the lace we send you with whatever you like.

Love them - haven’t worn any other shoes since purchasing 6 months ago!

I love these, I have worn barefoot shoes/sandals for a number of years. My DIY version of this sandal finally gave out at the start of the year so I thought I’d treat myself to these ready laced genesis version. Love them. I use these everyday whether it be at the gym, running, working in the office, walking the dogs, grass cutting . . . Literally everything! They are just so comfy. I even roll them up in my little handbag for work nights out when I have to wear heels/ stilettos so I can swap to them for the walk back 🤭. I will be purchasing again when needed - so far they are holding up well and don’t show much use which is grand!

Overall good but sizing issues

I like the look and feel of these but feel like I probably took a size too big. Find the xero sizing complicated as eu and uk don’t correspond. Also would be useful if you could put the length in cm on the site for each item.

Oh the relief

These are my first pair of barefoot shoes. I have serious difficulties with my feet. bunions, arthritis, fallen arch on one foot. My feet have been getting worse and worse, I've been getting pain, numbness & tingling despite my custom made orthotics. My feet have been feeling weaker and weaker over time so I thought I would give barefoot a go. I cannot believe the difference. I have mobility in my big toes again, a vast reduction in pain and my feet just feel stronger. I noticed I was unconsciously going up and down on my tiptoes in a queue recently whilst wearing them, it dawned on me that I had no pain at all whilst doing so. My feet just felt....great. I love the sandals themselves, they're so comfortable, I can't usually stand things between my toes but they don't rub at all. I'm out of shape after an illness but did run for a couple of minutes in them and it was a revelation. Usually in normal trainers my feet hurt from the outset and feel like they are being hit with a hammer. In these I had no pain and no numbness. I genuinely wish I had tried these donkeys years ago. They are a little chilly for UK spring even with toe socks on. However now I know that barefoot shoes work so well for me, I will be investing in more types. The only downside is now everyone knows exactly how short I am.
