To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Good, but not comparable to the original HFS (which was better)

The HFS2 is a good shoe, comfortable and works well on runs. I have two pairs. It is nothing like the original HFS, however. I have to pairs of those, too. I preferred the original as it was lighter and much more flexible. I've seem comments to the effect of "bring back the old HFS!" and I have to agree. While I have put in many 100s of kilometers in the originals, I don't find myself reaching for the HFS2s with the same enthusiasm. I took out the insoles of the HFS2s to try and make room and reduce the stiffness of the ride but it's not the same as the originals (for which I didn't have to do anything to them out of the box). While the HFS2s do have a good amount of flex, you notice the stiffness when running. The original HFS really got out of your way and were a pleasure to run in - it was almost like they weren't there. Stock of the old model is now gone in my size and the two pairs I have will not last forever. I would replace the original HFS pairs immediately if stock of the old model became available again, but I would think twice about replacing a pair of the HFS2s like-for-like. I think that sums up my feelings on the HFS2s. They're... fine. But the old ones were great.

Comfortable and look great.

In general, I love these shoes, comfortable and they look great for barefoot shoes. When walking after it’s been raining or over a metal grate, it’s a bit slippery. I feel that when the winter comes, I won’t be walking to work in them. Great for the gym and work though.

Different Shoe

The shoe is fine, but it’s nothing like the HFS. I’m sure it’s exactly right for lots of people but just not the same people for whom the HFS was just right. Please, please, please bring back the original (make both why not?). The HFS 2 feels heavier and so much more rigid than the HFS. As someone who wore my 2 pairs of HFSs full time as well as running 50k per week plus in them I’m really devastated that I can’t get another pair.
