Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean shoes with a soft-bristled brush and dry detergent:

Remove loose dirt with a soft cloth.
Mix a little water with the white dry detergent
Use soft-bristled brush, dipped in water to gently scrub shoes.
Gently wipe away excess detergent with a dry cloth.
Repeat until satisfied.
Air dry shoes completely.

Please note:

White shoes can get dirty! Please use dry detergent as needed.
We do not recommend putting the Dillon in the washing machine or dryer.

Nice shoe with poor heel support

This is a stylish shoe with a design that stands out from the rest of Xero’s models. The sole is thicker than typical barefoot shoes, which isn’t a drawback as long as you’re aware of that and it fits your preferences. It’s lacking proper heel support. Even when tightened properly, the shoe doesn’t feel as securely on as it should and your foot never feels properly locked in. The white version also picks up dirt easily, though that’s expected with fabric shoes. My main issue is the price. Without proper heel support you’re essentially paying over £100 for a pair of plimsolls with a slightly wider toe box.

I love them! 2nd Pair

I love the Dillon's! They look like 'normal' casual wear trainers and they are super comfy to wear, whilst given all the sensory feedback that we require from barefoot shoes. These are my second pair, and were a replacement given to me as part of the sole guarantee, as unfortunately the soles had worn out well within the 24 month and 5,000 mile policy. Never the less, I love them and I have a pair of their hiking boots, which are also fab.

New and definitely NOT improved

After owning 2 pairs of HFS, ran nearly 1500km and worn both pairs out as my main gym shoes, i was excited to see that a new version had been released as i was looking to retire my current shoes. However, sadly, after wearing these shoes once, these are not the HFS feeling shoe I’ve come to love. These are advertised as a flexible sole, however, from the mid foot back, the sole is actually pretty stiff and thick. So much so that i picked up a small injury to my foot the first time i wore these. My feet have been in barefoot shoes for the last 5 years with no issues and as soon as i try on a pair that have a thicker sole i pick up an injury. Safe to say that was a waste of money - seen as the returns policy is you can’t return if you’ve worn them. I offer this review as a warning, If you’re coming from the original HFS, AVOID. I’d even say if you are new to barefoot or Xero, still avoid. Xero have made a better running shoe in the past and these are not worth the money, or in my case the injuries. Hopefully, version 3 resembles more of what the originals were. RIP HFS v1
