We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Frustration process to purchase

Coast me £12 to decide didn’t like the fit and couldn’t find the size. Which are three or four sizes out. Didn’t want to waste anymore money.

Quality & Comfort - for the right feet

I got these because I need a practical everyday, versatile shoe that would be good in all conditions. I picked them up during the 10% off sale, so they were a bit less than the standard pricing. Out of the box, these shoes look and *feel* very high quality. The leather and seams look and feel robust. Putting them on they are comfortable right out of the box for leather shoes. However - after reading the other reviews about the fit, and Xero's own guidance to size up, I decided to go for a UK size 10.5 (up from my normal 9.5) and I'm very glad I did. The outside toe box curves in a fair bit, so the toe box is likely better for people with more rounded toes, and narrower feet. My feet measure 27.6cm long and 10.8cm wide, with pretty high volume. This works out fine in other shoes like the Xero Dillon (one of my favorites!) but here the toe box isn't built for my wider foot. Since I sized up for my toes, the fit of the whole boot is a bit looser and definitely feels better to wear with thick socks - which thankfully is not a problem in winter. I did toy with the idea of returning these and sizing down due to the loose fit, but ultimately chose against it for the larger space in the toe box that the 10.5's provide. The soles on these are also much thicker than other barefoot shoes, even a pair of boots I own, so the groundfeel isn't the greatest - however there's still plenty of flex for full range of movement.

Dem Ridgeway Chelsea boots are made for walking

Really nice boots first ever of this style for me. Chelsea boots who knew they are so comfy and cool. Seriously good.

great shoe, sizing is difficult

I love the Xero Chelsea boot, however, I haven't really used them yet. It says on the website that they are true to size so I ordered my size in the women's shoe and they were tiny. The next size up were also a little snug, and I found the page on the website with the actual foot measurements on, and advice to try the men's if you want a wider fit. So I ordered the next size up in the men's and they were too big on me, they looked like a workboot, so back they went again. The 7.5 and 8 were out of stock so I ordered the Ridgeways in 7.5 and they fit perfectly. The returns process is free and I appreciate the customer service, I'm a UK6 and now I know that if the website says 'true to size', for me that means go up a size and a half! I'm looking forward to trying the Chelsea boot in the women's 7.5 when the stock is available.
