The Alpine keeps the wet out with a fully seam-sealed inner bootie and a water-resistant membrane in the boot’s upper.

The insulated polyester fleece lining keeps those piggies nice and warm. And a heat-reflective insole adds to the winter-friendly comfort. And, yes, you can remove the insole for an even more “barefoot” feeling.

The Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -32°C/-25°F, so they should keep your feet warm no matter where your adventures take you.

What’s the cold weather rating for the Alpine?

Unlike, say, sleeping bags, there’s no accurate temperature rating system for shoes. How a shoe handles the cold (or, rather, how a person handles the cold in a shoe) depends on factors beyond air temperature, including ground temperature, humidity, blood circulation in your feet, foot mobility (the more you move, the warmer you might feel) and, of course, the socks you’re wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be).

The short answer is, the Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -32°C/-25°F.

With the seam-sealed bootie, heat-reflecting insole, insulated synthetic lining, and lugged sole, we’re giving you a cosy natural movement option for staying warm in the cold.

Does the Alpine work well with snowshoes?

The answer is YES! The Alpine is a great boot to pair with snowshoes, especially with the zero-drop, FeelTrue® rubber soles for a low centre of gravity. Most snowshoes secure the boots with straps that go over the toes, instep, and around the heel, and will work just fine with the Alpine. And with our 200g insulation, rated to -32°C/-25°F, and the fully seam-sealed, water-resistant inner bootie, your feet should stay warm and toasty while you’re hiking!

Great boots but size is confusing

Love the boots, but I think the size chart is wrong. It would be helpful to have the foot length/ boots length on the chart rather than comparison between countries. A 39 EU is always a 6 UK. So I don't understand why a 6 for women is 38 and for men is 40. Of course I got the wrong size because of this.

So light and comfortable

These boots are so comfortable, soft and light. They are also very warm and water proof, which was perfect for my trip to the Alps! They have kept my feet dry and warm in spite of the snowy weather. The only downfall was that I wish I bought one size larger. On the website the recommendation is to choose your normal shoe size. I bought half size bigger and my toes just touched the end of the boot. (I like to have a little space). Unfortunately I have already used them out doors so could not swap them. But now, after wearing them for a whole week, they are OK. I don't get pain in my toes from pressure that normally builds up. I can wear them all day and not experience any significant discomfort. It would have been 5 star if there was an advise to get a size bigger then normal size like in the Mica style boots. But thank you for the most comfortable footwear I have ever had!

Too small

Despite the website advice to order my normal shoes, the Alpine shoes were too small. Awaiting replacement. They look great!

Narrow shoes

I'd love to be able to wear Xero shoes as they have so much variety but the shoes are too narrow for my wide toes. I've not yet found a barefoot shoe wide enough for me. Also, on these boots, the furry trim is only around the ankles.

Snow boots

Bought these and another pair in the sale. Not had chance to wear them yet, but if there as comfy as the other pair they will be great, great looking boots and good for my feet never get tired feet anymore😊
